Alder Hills

An urban coarse fishing lake situated close to the Rossmore estate. Set within a Site of Special Scientific Interest the fishery offers excellent fishing.

DIRECTIONS

  • At the end of Herbert Avenue turn left onto Alder Road.

  • Follow the road to the Sainsbury’s roundabout.

  • Take the exit towards the Sainsbury’s superstore.

  • Take the first right into the Heatherview medical centre.

  • Park in the car park.

FISHERY RULES

  • Fishing is permitted 16 Jun – 14 Mar inclusive.

  • Members are not permitted to arrive at the fishery earlier than 12hrs before the commencement of a new season.

  • Night fishing available. Members must be in possession of a valid night fishing ticket. Night fishing is not available for guests.

  • Barbless or micro-barbed hooks only.

  • Maximum two rods

  • No BBQ or open fires and take your litter home
