Fresh rainbow trout fish in a fishing net.

WDAC Game section

The Club’s trout lake at Winterborne Zelston has spring-fed crystal-clear water and the four lake complex at Rawlsbury is set in a beautiful valley where the only vehicular access is to the lakes themselves.  A trout ticket is required, in addition to being a member to fish these waters. There are guest trout tickets for members to purchase below.

The Club also leases a short stretch or the River Crane alongside the coarse lakes at Edmondsham. This is catch and release only for the wild brown trout and you must contact the Game Secretary first before fishing as the Club is required to severely restrict this water’s use.

Do not forget the River Stour has resident brown trout and grayling too.

News

Every month our Game Secretary Paul Baker publishes our game newsletter, keeping members abreast of news, catch reports, work parties and more

It is a condition of purchase of trout tickets that the relevant member makes an email return to the Game Secretary. The Club will know details from the purchase of the ticket. Please advise date fished and number of fish and their sizes taken, including any caught on the catch and release lakes at Rawlsbury.

The Club is also interested to learn of any trout, graying, sea- trout or salmon caught on the River stretches too.

Please send all returns to: paul.bakerwdac@gmail.com
