Graham Pipet
On Monday 10th of February, I was told our former Secretary, Chairman and Vice President Graham Pipet had passed away, his funeral service is to be held at the Corfe Mullen Baptist Church at 11am on Thursday 6th March. Family have invited those who knew Graham to join them to reflect on his life.
Graham was, to those who knew him, a true Gentleman, just a really nice bloke and one who loved his fishing which seemed to occupy much of his time. He joined the Club’s committee in September 1993 and became Secretary in April 1995 serving until 2004 when he took over the role of Club Chairman for a year before being appointed as a Vice President. A few years ago, suffering declining health, he could no longer fish and in a move, so typical of Graham doing the right thing, he stepped down from his role in the Club.
The Corfe Mullen Baptist Church is sometimes called the Chapel in the Valley. Newtown Lane, which serves the Church has a turning about 100 metres further west than the Royal British Legion and on the opposite side of the Blandford Road. Refreshments will follow the service.
If you intend to attend the funeral it would be helpful if you can email the Club’s Secretary so the numbers can be forwarded to those dealing with the arrangements by no later than the 27 February 2025.
