The Annual General Meeting and the Game Section Meeting of the Wimborne and District Angling Club 2025
In accordance with the Club’s Constitution, at rule 9c, notice is given of the intention to hold the Club’s Annual General Meeting at the Royal British Legion Corfe Mullen, commencing at 19.30 on the 25th March 2025.
This year the Club is delighted to announce that Steve Oliver, who is the Rivers Conservation Officer of the Dorset Wildlife Trust, will provide a talk for about half an hour, about examples of river restoration work being done by the Trust and its partners on our local rivers, including how the Trust is involved in the return of beavers to Dorset.
The work by DWT is right on the cutting edge of River improvement and Steve is one of the real on the ground experts! So do come and listen.
A draft Agenda is available upon request via the Secretary, but a final version will of course be available on the evening of the meeting and electronically from about ten days before.
Do not forget that entrance to the Meeting will be by showing your membership book.
The formal part of the programme will include the elections of the President, Officers and Members to the Committee. There will also be the annual reports on financial matters, membership, and proposed forward plans.
On past performance if the meeting starts promptly at 19.30 then we will get through the formal part of the agenda by about 20.20. The element of Any Other Business including questions for the Committee is inevitably about 15 minutes. There will then be a short interlude before Steve Oliver’s talk which will commence at about 20.45.
Do come along.
